Brief Develop an editorial artifact, with a free theme, in which the designer focuses on telling a narrative through it.

Resposta Gathering three personal interests, namely, color, typography and packaging, I decided to develop the book “the eyes also eat”, a Portuguese proverb, which, as its subtitle reveals, consists of a study of the color and typography used in previously recognized packaging and/or awarded, by entities such as the Pentawards, Dieline Awards and Packaging of the World.
Like a food package, the cover is malleable, made of a fragile material and, therefore, with handling, impacting the condition of the cover.

Likewise, the interaction is present on the cover, forcing the reader to interact in order to have access to the title and subtitle of the book, and the same with the cover, so that they can see its connection with the book's core.

The sides are all painted red, so that when it closes and envelops the book cover, the idea of a box, in other words, of a package, is transparent.
The French Fold draws an analogy to packaging. Just as we have to open a package to access the food, the reader has to tear, or manipulate the pages to access the content. In addition, it is the element separating typography, on the outside of the French fold, and color, on the inside; forces interaction by providing continuity between contents.

The contents are organized into two chapters, drinks and food, organized in order of typographic irreverence, irreverence mirrored by the body of text itself, which starts from a rectangular shape, the simplified shape of a package, deconstructing itself in order to mirror this irreverence.

Furthermore, since no two packages are the same, also in this book, no two pages are the same, at most similar. For each package, a typographic analysis is carried out and the identification and explanation of your choice is made.
After the reader rips, or peeks into the folds, if you prefer, you will have access to the color palette of the packaging, the bottom of the pages, as well as, you will be able to see what the packaging really looks like on the outside of the fold.
Basically, this book is nothing more than a provocation, because it reverses the roles, the packaging is the last thing the reader sees, and for that it is essential to make irreversible decisions, which caused damage to the book, as it happens as soon as we decided to open a food industry packaging.
